CITRUS COUNTY, FL. – A Spring Hill man was killed in a crash that happened just before midnight on Tuesday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the Spring Hill man was traveling on a motorcycle southbound on US-19, north of Cardinal Street, and was slowing or stopped in the roadway.
Investigators say a car driven by a 68-year-old Homosassa woman struck the motorcyclist from behind, ejecting the rider from the bike.
Troopers say a pickup truck and SUV both traveled to the outside shoulder to avoid the crash, but collided with the rider who was ejected.
The Spring Hill man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
