ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man died in a motorcycle crash that happened around 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 57-year-old St. Pete man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on 46th Avenue North, east of US-19A (SR-693), when he lost control of the vehicle. 

The motorcycle departed the roadway and collided with a utility pole.

Upon impact, the rider separated from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, investigators say.
