Facing a possible vaccine requirement for lawmakers and Congressional staff, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tells House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to shove it.
Fox News Congressional reporter Chad Pergram tweeted out on Friday, “Fox has obtained a draft copy of a letter crafted by a coalition of House Democrats, which calls on Capitol Attending Physician Dr. Brian Monahan to consider a vaccine requirement for lawmakers and Congressional staff.”
Congresswoman Greene says shove it, tweeting, “@SpeakerPelosi you can take that broomstick you flew to town on and shove it. There aren’t enough Democrats in DC to hold me down for a vaccine that I do NOT need. Really old people like you, yes you are in the risk group, so get your jab if you choose,” with a picture of Pelosi maskless.
On Saturday, Rep. Greene said, “NO LOCKDOWNS, NO MANDATORY VACCINES, RESIST.”
Twitter responded to Greene, “At the rate your constituents are dying from Covid you are going to have to reconsider your stance on allowing dead people to vote,” said a user.
“Too bad there’s actually legal precedence that upholds the constitutionality of mandating vaccinations. Jacobson v. Massachusetts (1905). Feel free to educate yourself,” said @timmyK_425.
“Marge, you should know how this works. You don’t have to comply with getting a vaccine, but if you don’t abide by terms of employment… well, you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here,” said another user.
On Friday, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) set up ‘COVID Checkpoint Charlie’ in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol, to mock Pelosi and the House mask mandate.
