TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police are currently working to identify the suspect who assaulted a female on Tuesday afternoon near the Circle K at N. Florida Ave and W. Hillsborough Ave.
According to police, the suspect appears to be a black male, approximately 5’4, 120-130 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, light gray sweatshirt, hunter green pants, and black & white shoes.
Reportedly, the suspect was acting erratically, throwing signs in the roadway when the victim told him to stop and that she was calling the police.
The suspect immediately came toward the victim, pushing her to the ground before hitting her multiple times. He then took her cell phone, smashed it to the ground, and fled the area on a bicycle toward Nebraska Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries.
