PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Three bicyclists were seriously injured in a crash Thursday morning around 8:29 am, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a car, driven by a 16-year-old New Port Richey girl, was traveling southbound on East Lake Road stopped in a left turn lane at the intersection of Trinity Boulevard.

Two bicycles, a tandem, and a standard bike, were traveling northbound on East Lake Road in a
designated bicycle lane approaching the intersection of Trinity Boulevard.

Troopers say a car, driven by a 16-year-old New Port Richey girl, was traveling southbound on East Lake Road, stopped in a left turn lane at the intersection of Trinity Boulevard.

Troopers say at the intersection, the New Port Richey girl turned left into the path of both bicycles.

The two bicycles collided with the right side of the car, with all three riders suffering serious injuries and being transported to area hospitals.

Two men and woman, ages 65, 64, and 61, from Palm Harbor suffered serious injuries in the crash and were transported to area hospitals.
