Garcia was able to experience a variety of activities including assisting in landing a helicopter over the radio, touring a variety of military equipment, and hands-on simulation training. Coordination between the Illinois and Wisconsin Make a Wish Foundations, in conjunction with Fort McCoy, the Wisconsin Army National Guard, and many volunteer support units helped make Miguel’s wish to be a Soldier for the day come true.
