WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Winter Haven Police Department is hosting its “Purge Your Pills & Shred Your Stuff” event this Saturday, October 26th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free event offers residents a safe and convenient way to dispose of unwanted medications and sensitive documents.
Medication Disposal:
Citizens can bring any unused, expired, or unwanted medications, including pet medications, for safe disposal. This helps prevent medication misuse and protects the environment.

Free Shredding:
In addition to medication disposal, residents can bring their sensitive documents for on-site shredding by Crown Business Solutions. This helps prevent identity theft and protects personal information. Please note that wet paper cannot be accepted for shredding.

There is no limit on the amount of medication or documents residents can bring. The event is for residential use only; businesses are not eligible. For added convenience, staff will be available to collect items directly from your car.
