Woman Dies After Being Shot In Tampa On Sunday, Police Seeking Tips

Tampa Police were dispatched to the report of a shooting in the 1900 block of W. Main St just after 6:30 PM Sunday evening.

TAMPA, Fla. – A woman has died after a shooting that happened on Sunday, and police are searching for the suspect.

Tampa Police were dispatched to the report of a shooting in the 1900 block of W. Main St just after 6:30 PM Sunday.

Before officers arrived, the victim, a black female in her mid-twenties, was transported by personal vehicle to a nearby hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers immediately began working to develop leads in the shooting. The victim later died as a result of her injuries.

Homicide detectives are working to identify and apprehend the suspect in this shooting. He is reported to be a black male in his mid-twenties to early thirties.

“He is described as 5’8″ and 6′ tall, with a light complexion, and his hair in twists. The suspect fled on foot southbound from the shooting,” said Tampa PD.
