TAMPA, Fla.- Tampa Police responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of E. Mulberry Dr. early Thursday morning.
According to investigators, officers arrived at the home around 6:45 AM, to find an elderly female victim of two gunshot wounds.
A 92-year-old man, Walter Kelly was taken into custody, at the scene, without incident.
Early information provided to investigators suggests the two parties had been heard arguing for an extended period of time prior to the shooting.
The female, who is known to Kelly, was transported to a nearby hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition.
Kelly was transported to Orient Road Jail, charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
