TAMPA, Fla. – Beginning at 9 am today, the outside westbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard will be closed between West Inman Avenue and South Edison Avenue while the Tampa Water Department conducts maintenance on the water distribution system.
Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to weekend traffic by 5 pm today and then close again on Monday, August 14, at 9 am to continue the work.
Starting Monday, August 14, all lanes will reopen at 5 pm every night and close at 9 am the following morning until the work is completed. Please consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area.

The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5 pm, Wednesday, August 16. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.
