NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla - A 49-Year-old New Port Richey man was killed in a crash that happened around 10:00 am on Tuesday.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla – A 49-Year-old New Port Richey man was killed in a crash that happened around 10:00 am on Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Trouble Creek Road at a high rate of speed.

Troopers say at the intersection of Whitetail Lane, an SUV stopped and then proceeded to turn left into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the SUV, which was driven by an 80-year-old New Port Richey man.

The 80-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the crash, troopers say. The driver of the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
